This game started with the idea of taking the upgrading aspect of Nova Drift and using it with the combat style of Terraria in a top-down shooter.

Game originally made for Scratch but was taken down due to being too "violent".

Currently this game has:

  • 40 waves
  • 2 bosses
  • 120+ upgrades
  • 4 difficulty options

I love this game, it's a ton of fun and the game play almost never gets old. But I do have some ideas that I think would be cool to see.

Idea 1: a throw axe upgrade ( it could be separate from the fire button)

Idea 2: an upgrade that makes you shoot both ways but halves your damage.

Idea 3: a dash ability (or something that buffs your speed after getting hit)

Idea 4: a riot shield that can block ranged attacks and buffs health but has low range and nerfs speed (you could reuse the axe projectile sprite)

Idea 5: A difficulty that doubles (maybe triples)  boss spawns

Idea 6: A boomerang weapon that could pierce infinitely when returning.

Idea 7: Multiplayer

This game is PERFECTION and its a shame you had to take down the project

Wow, this is quite impressive! I think most people underestimate what you can do with Scratch.

Thanks.

Is this really a Scratch game? This is probably the best one I've played on this site so far! Congratulations on making a surprisingly fun game!

I decided to play with all three extra difficulty settings on, which probably made the game more enjoyable. I chose to keep the axe in my first run, but I kept getting lots of upgrades for bullets. It wasn't clear if they would benefit the axe's projectile, so I chose to ignore them.

I got to the Venomite battle on my second run, but I ran out of time to finish the fight before the next wave started automatically, which made Venomite's health bar and the boss music go away. I feel like more time should be given to finish the boss waves with the Enemy Territory setting active, as I got run over by the mobs that spawned in while the boss's patterns were still going on.

Yes, it is a scratch game, and thanks for playing and giving your thoughts.

And yes, the bullet upgrades affect axe, I should change them to say Weapon instead of Bullet.
